Good Day!

Well the last few days have been more mellow then the first. Now that we are getting settled in things are going better.

I think Monday (as everything is closed on Sunday) we are going to find me a new wallet. Due to the fact that Gemma was ticked that she couldn’t lay on the balcony anymore so she took her frustration out on my wallet, Fun Times LOL.

I think we have figured out how to control the bug population… At night if the lights are on in the room then we have to shut the windows. It has been working out alright for the last few days… Its going to be in the 30’s this weekend (Thank god there’s only like 65% humidity here, and 85% is unheard of.) So with the heat we might see the Godzilla bug again, hopefully not.

Went for a drive today down to Nurnburg today just cruised around town and came back, it’s a shame that the tires on the car are only rated to 210Km/h… *Sure makes you jump when you’re doing 170ish and a car goes flying by doing at least 280.

We are very fortunate to have very very friendly neighbors. They invited us over for a BBQ last night and we didn’t leave there till the early hours of the morning. They have been very generous and have even offered Lindsey a scooter to drive around on but Lindz still has yet to adjust to the driving here. Luckily Gemma gets along fine with there dog and she didn’t terrorize their ducks. The neighbor’s dog wouldn’t let Gemma touch her cushion, so just like the wallet Gemma destroyed it… There was batting all over there yard… I guess they have been meaning to throw it out for the past few months. Just like at home the Gemma saga continues.

Most likely next weekend or maybe tomorrow? We will go to Nurnburg with the neighbors and visit the blind cafe. It sounds very fascinating as it is in an old bomb shelter with walls that are 5m thick and there are no lights inside so it’s darker then dark at night. The owner is a blind man, I assume after visiting you can sure get a good understanding of how he sees the world.

We found out last night that they made it illegal in Dutchland about 15years ago to dock a dog’s tail, so that answered our question of why Olde English Bullgogges here in Dutchland have tails.

I have to say they love Hollywood news over here, Michel Jackson’s screwed up face is plastered on all the papers and on the TV.

It is hilarious to hear the locals swear. Our neighbors car is referred to as “de fuct” as it’s getting old and keeps breaking down, lots of stories… almost just as many as the Jetta had.

Well it’s almost 19:00 and we're not sure where to eat tonight (Man Gemma’s Farts stink just as bad here!... back to the story>), maybe we will find a new place to tryout.

Cheers!
Marshall
